al28894 | Kuala Lumpur Illustration Fair 2026!

So I was thinking for sometime about what kind of jourmal I want this to be. But about 5 days ago I had an epiphany: I could post whatever the hell I want! Songs, pictures, things that I like... all of that!

And what better to start than posting about the art fair I went to back on Labour Day (May 1st). I have already talked about what I bought from here some posts back, but the fair really needs to be seen to be believed.

Every year, Kuala Lumpur hosts an illustration fair that features local and international artists from around the ASEAN region. I have been to this fair for the past several years now and it is something to see it become more and more popular amongst youngsters and adults.

Given my expanded/niche tastes, I did not buy much except from one booth from one particular artist (Nadhir Nor, who should be more appreciated locally and internationally), but there were so many talented artists and illustrators featuring so much of their craft that it was so nice to just... wander around and see their creations. When I could squeeze through the crowds jostling for their own space, that is.

But enough talk! I have taken a lot of pictures and I finally have a place to post them!
